Trading involves high risk; you can lose all the money invested.

A demo account is a practice account. It works like a real trading account, but it uses virtual money. On Bitvyl, your demo account starts with US$ 50,000 in virtual funds. This money has no monetary value. You cannot withdraw it, and you cannot lose real money with it.
The demo account uses the same quotes and the same tools as the real account. You see the same assets, the same charts and the same payouts. This makes it a good place to learn Fixed Time Trading, also widely known as binary options, before you put real money at risk.
You do not need to deposit anything. The steps are simple:
If your demo balance gets low, you can refill it at any time from the balance menu. When you feel ready, you can switch to the real account from the same menu. Your demo balance stays separate, so you can go back and practise whenever you want.
A demo account is more than a game with fake money. Use it to learn real skills.
Many beginners open hundreds of random trades on demo. This teaches very little. A plan helps you learn faster.
Use one or two assets only. Use a fixed amount, for example US$ 10 per trade. Write down why you open each trade.
Choose one simple idea. For example, trade only when the RSI shows an extreme level. Open at least 30 trades with the same rule. Then count your wins and losses.
Remember that a winning trade pays less than a losing trade costs. With a 92% payout, a US$ 10 win gives US$ 9.20 profit, but a loss costs US$ 10. If your method does not make a profit on demo, it will not make a profit on a real account either.
Use the same trade size you would use with real money. If you plan to deposit US$ 100 and risk 1–2% per trade, practise with US$ 1–2 trades on demo. This keeps your habits realistic. Read more in how to use a demo account.
The quotes and tools are the same. What changes is how you feel. With real money, fear and hope become stronger. Many traders follow their plan on demo but break it on a real account. This is normal, and it is why you should start real trading with small amounts.
Also note that demo results are not real results. Good demo results do not guarantee good real results. Our article on trading psychology explains how to stay calm when real money is involved.
There is no fixed rule. A good sign is when you can follow your plan for many trades in a row without breaking your own rules. When you are ready, you can make your first deposit with crypto. The minimum deposit is US$ 15. See crypto deposits for the steps.
Trading involves high risk, and you can lose all the money you invest. Only trade money you can afford to lose. To understand how this trade type works in more detail, read binary options explained.
